Soft landing bags
The Harsco Infrastructure soft landing bags are a highly effective and widely
used means of protecting workers from injury from falls from height. They will
absorb the impact of falls up to 2 metres which can be difficult to protect in
some applications e.g. installing house roof trusses. Two versions are available;
polystyrene filled bean-bags and inflatable air bags.

Polystyrene filled
Rugged woven polypropylene soft landing bags filled with polystyrene beads. 2.5m
long x 0.55m tall x 0.55mm wide, and weighing 7kg. Use enough bags to cover the
required floor area, they are clipped together to avoid any gaps, providing a
complete floor covering.
They can be manually handled by one person and are easy to install with minimal training. The bags require low maintenance and do not rely upon mechanical generators to maintain an air flow, reducing safety control tasks.

Air-tight bags which are sealed after inflation, requiring no further pumping,
Used in a similar way to polystyrene filled bags to cover the entire floor area
below a fall hazard. Robust, woven polypropylene outer bag with airtight, sealable
inner bag.
- Dimensions: 2.15m long x 750mm wide x 750mm high.
- Light-weight and compact when deflated.
