Soft landing bags
The Harsco Infrastructure soft landing bags are a highly effective and widely
used means of protecting workers from injury from falls from height. The rugged
woven polypropylene bags filled with polystyrene absorb the impact of falls up
to 2 metres which can be difficult to protect in some applications e.g. installing
house roof trusses.
The soft landing bags are 2.5m long x 0.55m tall x 0.55mm wide, and weigh 7kg.
Using enough bags to cover the required floor area, they are clipped together
to avoid any gaps, providing a complete floor covering.
They can be manually handled by one person and are easy to install by personnel
with minimal training. The bags require low maintenance and do not rely upon mechanical
generators to maintain an air flow, reducing safety control tasks.
