Harness
A lightweight, simple to use full body harness with stainless steel fittings, an energy absorbing lanyard and scaffold hook. Supplied with clear usage instructions
- The Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996, introduced a general requirement to prevent falls from height. Scaffolding employers must, therefore, take steps to prevent any person falling 2 metres or more.
- The NASC strongly recommends that safety harnesses are issued to all scaffolders, and are worn at all times. The NASC Guidance, 'The use of fall arrest equipment whilst erecting, altering and dismantling scaffolding', applies to Tube and Fittings scaffolds. Harsco Infrastructure have issued a separate note that applies to its CUPLOK® System Scaffolds. Advice for other system scaffolds should be obtained direct from manufacturers.
- The SG4 Guidance Report has been supported by the Health and Safety Executive and will be enforced.
