SGB parent company Harsco acquires Nicol UK
Harsco Corporation, the parent company of access specialist SGB, has announced
its acquisition of Nicol UK Ltd.
Nicol UK specialises in the provision of scaffolding, insulation and painting
service to major petrochemical, energy and industrial clients throughout the UK
for new facility construction and maintenance. The acquisition strengthens Harsco’s
capability to offer a multi disciplined service to its UK customers, combining
the scaffolding and access expertise of its subsidiary, SGB Industrial Services,
with Nicol’s specialist insulation and protective coating experience.
“This acquisition expands our capacity and widens the range of services we can provide to our growing customer base in the UK industrial sector“ comments Sal Fazzolari, Harsco’s Chairman and CEO. “The industrial sector has remained relatively buoyant throughout the economic downturn with new facility development and ongoing maintenance programmes and Harsco is looking to build further on the platform this acquisition provides.”
