Safety Alert - Threaded shoring adapter

IMPORTANT SAFETY ALERT - 18Th October 2005

THREADED SHORING ADAPTORS

SGB is replacing the current hollow stem version of the threaded shoring adaptor used with its MkII Soldier System with a new enhanced solid stem version with immediate effect.

To help identification the two variants are illustrated below.


EXISTING TUBULAR THREADED STEM	NEW SOLID THREADED STEM

Replacement adaptors will be issued at no cost to the customer. SGB staff will arrange to visit all customer sites currently using the hollow stem version to agree return and replacement procedures.

We would ask any SGB customer, currently using or storing hollow stem threaded shoring adaptors who has not already been contacted directly, to call your local SGB Formwork branch (see below) to arrange a site inspection and/or exchange.
