Health and safety commitments
Safety commitment
The safety of our staff, customers and the public is always our highest priority. Our ability to consistently deliver safe solutions on site is the result of a dedicated business process. This begins with a commitment to continuous safety behaviour training and culminates in the installation of the most appropriate products for your work at height requirement.
Harsco Infrastructure’s safety record sets the standard for the industry, a record that includes reducing our accident frequency rate every year for the last 5 years. We have also been awarded the Gold Standard from the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) in recognition of more than 75% of our workforce achieving registration under the scheme.

Control processes
The rigorous implementation of safe working practice is paramount for both our
staff and our customers. Our health and safety control processes have been carefully
developed to provide a framework within which a positive prevention policy can
thrive. Our safety behaviour programme is designed to empower management to secure
co-operation throughout the organisation, ensure effective communication and set
unambiguous levels of competence.

Employees are encouraged to put the site before the company and work together as a team, regardless of employer, to deliver a safer working environment.
Openness and honesty are encouraged; everyone is entitled to their input into both the planning and proposed execution of the job. Mutual respect is the order of the day, strengths and weaknesses are openly discussed and supported and if any team member has a concern he can stop the job until it has been addressed, without fear of reprisal.
