Soft landing bags | Protection if you fall from height
Harsco Infrastructure’s soft landing bags can protect your operatives from injury from falls from height. The soft landing bags are a highly effective and widely used means of protecting personnel from injury from falls from height, where full edge protection methods are not reasonably practicable.
The bags will absorb the impact of falls of up to 2 m. Manually handled by one person, or moved with available mechanical plant, soft landing bags are easy to install by personnel with basic training. Requiring low maintenance and not rely upon mechanical generators to maintain an air flow, soft landing bags thereby reduce safety control tasks.

For your safety
- The soft landing system has been independently tested in dynamic tests of 100 kg mass weight to ensure that the soft landing bag retains its integrity in the event of a fall
- To maintain a maximum 2 m height of fall for applications that are higher, a further bag can be added to reduce the fall height,subject to advice
- Care must be taken to avoid the risk of obstructions being struck in the event of a fall e.g. internal walls
