Suspended access platforms | Cradles

Harsco Infrastructure’s suspended access platforms, sometimes known as cradles, raise and lower personnel and materials to their working position using cables and powered winches.

Ideal for installation, inspection and maintenance work for construction or industrial projects, suspended access platforms and cradles are popular with contractors due to their speed and convenience.

Suspended either from existing roof rails or from a specially fabricated support structure, we can design, fabricate and install the entire assembly.

Versatile

The modular cradle systems consists of deck units, guardrails, winches and headgear all configured to suit a wide range of construction and industrial situations including lift shafts and voids. For specialist applications, headgear can be designed to provide safe access to the most awkward locations. For sensitive industrial sites, pneumatic winches provide additional safety with no spark risk.

Our suspended access platforms create no obstruction at ground level and normally need no tying in to the building face. Creating little noise or vibration, the cradles are ideal for work on sensitive or occupied buildings.
